Section II - Code of Conduct

Return To Table of Contents

2nd Armored members are held to a higher standard of conduct and behavior than ordinary gamers due to their status in the organization. Since all eyes are on them whenever they enter a server, members must uphold the highest standards of conduct at all times. The following conduct guidelines below serve only as a general outline of accepted and prohibited behavior and must not be thought of as an exhaustive list:

  • The use of “foul language” is appropriate in-game and during unit activities so long as it is not used in an offensive manner to attack, berate, or belittle others.

  • Cheating, exploiting the game, trolling, and/or the use of glitches to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.

  • Members are not permitted to be an active member of any other unit or clan other than 2nd Armored in games that we operate in. An exception for HLL comp teams is approved by leadership on a case-by-case basis.

  • Members are representatives of the unit and must conduct themselves accordingly at all times. Behavior that casts a negative light on the member or the unit as a whole shall be avoided.

Section III - Activity Requirements

Return To Table of Contents

Active participation in 2nd Armored is the key to the survival of the unit. Without the individual effort of each and every member to be active in the community and in-game, the unit will slowly wither away. As such, the following guidelines and procedures are in place to ensure every member is doing their part to contribute to unit activity:

  • 2nd Armored members are encouraged to be active on discord and in-game whenever possible. There are no mandatory requirements for attending training or unit events, however priority slotting is given to more active members for unit events.

  • 2nd Armored officers are required to maintain activity in discord, with in-game activity dependent on their duty position. As the leadership branch of the unit, they are expected to serve as an example by being online and engaging with the community.

  • No member may at any time or for any reason leave the discord server. Any 2nd Armored member that leaves the discord server will be considered to have left the unit, and their personnel file will be marked for deletion. If you are taking a leave of absence from the unit or the game, let your chain of command know and if needed mute the server so you don’t get pinged, but under no circumstances are you to leave the discord.

Section IV - Discipline & Discharge

Return To Table of Contents

Violation of 2nd Armored Regulations is grounds for disciplinary action appropriate to the level of offense. Serious or repeated violations will result in harsher actions being taken against the offending member. The list of possible disciplinary actions is listed below in order of severity:

NON-JUDICIAL PUNISHMENT (NJP) - Punishment for minor offenses may be handed down by any officer to any member of subordinate rank.

  • Verbal Warning: By far the most common, usually a superior telling a member to “knock it off”. No documentation required.

  • Verbal Counseling: In the case of more serious matters or repeated minor violations, the offender will be taken to a separate secure voice channel and their negative behavior will be addressed and corrected by an officer.

  • Written Counseling: The offender will receive a written letter of counseling via Discord DM, and a copy of the letter will remain in unit records for a period of 3 months.

COURT MARTIAL OFFENSES - More serious offenses or repeated offenses of a minor nature will be dealt with by the Division Judge Advocate General (JAG).

  • Letter of Reprimand: The offender will receive a written letter of reprimand via Discord DM, and a copy of the reprimand will remain in unit records permanently.

  • Suspension from Events: The offender will be prohibited from attending unit events for a time specified by the Division JAG.

  • Forfeiture of Rank: Officers may be stripped of their rank and status and awarded a serviceman grade commensurate with their length of time in service with the unit. This action can only be taken by the Division JAG.

  • Dishonorable Discharge: For the most serious offenses, members will be removed from the unit roster and, at the discretion of the command staff, banned from 2nd Armored servers and Discord. This is the most extreme form of unit discipline possible, and as such can only be accomplished by the Division JAG.
